4 DAYS BWINDI GORILLAS AND NGAMBA ISLANDS

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi, In the morning you will have breakfast to drive south-west of Uganda. You will have stop at the equator for photographs, and in Mbarara for lunch. The journey will take you through large banana plantations, papyrus woodland, and terraced landscapes of the “Switzerland of Africa”. It takes about 9 hours to reach Bwindi in the late afternoon. You will then go for a walk in the surrounding communities. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Bandas

Day 2-Tracking Gorillas, Having had breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off at 9:00 am through the tracks to search for the humble giants. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these great apes. However the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tiresome, it involves walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. They are awe-inspiring! Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 3- Transfer to Kampala, In the morning have breakfast to drive back to Kampala. You will have a stop in Mbarara to reach in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Kampala Sheraton / Hotel Africana / Holiday express.

Day 4- Transfer to Ngamba.

In the morning have breakfast and then your guide will transfer you to the landing site in Entebbe to catch your boat to Ngamba Island. The boat should coincide with the feeding time of the chimpanzees. You will reach the island to watch the chimps feed. After lunch in the afternoon you will go for a forest walk along with the young chimps. In the evening you will get the motor boat to transfer you back to the main Land.
