10 DAYS GORILLA & CULTURAL: UGANDA, RWANDA & BURUNDI

The 10 days gorilla and cultural safari will take to Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi where you will explore the difference in culture of these three countries of east Africa as you sport the difference and similarities of their way of life. you will further visit or the three capital cities of these countries. that is Kampala for Uganda, Kigali for Rwanda and Bujumbura for Burundi.

this will give you a feel of how these people goes about their daily lives and the city setup of these cities. on top of that, you will go gorilla trekking at volcanoes national park of Rwanda where you will walk with the gentle giants of Africa in the mountain gorillas.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO ENTEBBE

On arrival into Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by the company representative and driver for a transfer to your Hotel in Kampala for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: KAMPALA CITY TOUR

After having your Breakfast, you will be picked up to go for the Kampala City Tour. Some of the Places we shall visit on our Kampala City Tour include the following:

Namugongo Martyr’s Shrine that commemorates the twenty-two Ugandan Christians that were burnt alive by the then King of Buganda the late Kabaka Mwanga for not denouncing Christianity.

Proceed to Rubaga Cathedral – one of the oldest Roman Cathedral located in Kampala. It has got significant religious History and unique architecture, with writings of the Uganda Martyrs.

Proceed to Namiremebe cathedral- the oldest cathedral in Uganda. The Cathedral offers stunning views and a unique History. You will be taken around to see the features that make this cathedral Unique.

Gaddafi Mosque: Renamed Uganda National Mosque, the mosque is the largest mosque in East Africa. The Mosque has got tower where you can view the cityscape of Kampala.

Lubiri (Kabaka’s Mengo Palace): The Lubiri is the official palace for the Kabaka of the Buganda Kingdom. Built with Local materials and traditional techniques, the Palace has got a number of cultural and Historical features including the Royal Chambers, the Buganda Parliament, the Throne Room, among others. You will be guided to learn more about the several cultural Norms of the Buganda Kingdom.

You will drive back to your Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: BOAT AND FISIHING ACTIVITY

You will have breakfast, then transfer for your Fishing excursion and Boat activity in Entebbe. Fishing will be done around different island on a boat. After your activity, you will have lunch and thereafter, transfer to your Hotel for Dinner and overnight in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO FLY TO KIGALI

In the morning, you will have an early breakfast to transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight to Kigali. And on arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge/Hotel.

DAY 5: GORILLA EXPEDITION AND COFFEE TOUR CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT AT THE GORILLA GUARDIAN VILLAGE

Following an early breakfast, the driver will pick you from your Lodge to head to the Park headquarters for briefing and registration for the Gorilla Trekking activity.

The ranger will lead you into the forest for the trek which may be short or long considering the movement of the gentle giants. You will stay in the presence of the Gorillas for an hour and thereafter, you will be guided back to meet your driver.

In the afternoon, you will go for the Iby’wachu Cultural Village for the best experience of Rwanda’s culture and tradition.  Dinner and overnight at your Lodge

DAY 6: COFFER TOUR AND TRANSFER TO KIGALI

Today, you will have breakfast, then head out for your coffee tour in the mountains. You will explore coffee plantations set against the volcanic peaks. You will learn about the growing, harvesting production and other coffee practices. You may also choose to do a boat trip before driving Kigali. Check into your Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

 DAY 7: KIGALI SIGHT SEEING TOUR

Start off your day with breakfast in the morning, followed by a pick up from your hotel. You will then go to learn more about Kigali City and the key points on your way to each stop. Your Day trip will feature the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial, Hotel des Mille Collines, Conference Centers in Kigali, Museums, as well as Local Markets. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: FLIGHT FROM KIGALI TO BUJUMBURA

You will have a relaxed breakfast, then check out to transfer to the Airport to catch your flight from Kigali to Bujumbura. Before the flight, you can consider doing the activity or visiting the site that you missed to visit on the previous day.  On arrival at the airport in Bujumbura, you will be picked up from the airport to transfer to your Hotel for Dinner and overnight at Hotel Du lac Tanganyika.

DAY 9: BUJUBURA CITY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO GITEGA

Today, you will enjoy the Bunjumbura City Tour and thereafter the city tour, you will transfer to Gitega for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: KARERA WATERFALLS & GISHORA DRUM SANCTUARY

In the morning, you will have breakfast and thereafter, transfer to the amazing Karera falls. You will also go for the famous drummers for sound traditional drumbeats and dances, songs and heroic poems. You will actively participate in the dancing and drumming for a unique experience. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

 GITEGA TO BUJUMBURA – FLIGHT

You will have an early start to transfer to Bujumbura to catch your flight. This marks the end of your Safari.
