The 3-day gorillas and Batwa experience will take you to walk with the gentle giants of east Africa in their natural habitats at Mgahinga gorilla national park. The park is the home to one family of these habituated great apes. Beside trekking, you will also visit the Batwa community who are the natives of the Mgahinga national park. These people are commonly known as the pigmies of Africa due to their physical nature.
However, before heading to the Uganda side where Mgahinga is found, you will start your safari with Kigali city tour where you will have a look at Africa’s most clean city which is also the capital city of Rwanda.

Detailed itinerary
1st day: arrival, city tour, transfer to Mgahinga national park
On your arrival to Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by your guide/ driver who will be fully dressed in the company uniform. After the meet and greet, your guide will take you through your itinerary before embarking on your once in the lifetime experience starting by adventuring the capital city of Rwanda. The places that you will visit include the genocide museums, visit kimironko market to know the life of ordinary Rwandese.
After the city tour, you will transfer to Mgahinga gorillas national park where you will check into your lodge for the dinner and your overnight stay.
2nd day: gorilla trekking
The second day start with the early morning breakfast, after the breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be meant by the park guide who will take you through the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will join a group of other trekkers and enter the forest to start the gorilla search. After 1 to 4 hours, you will encounter gorillas and spend and hour with them while observing their social behaviors and interactions. This will be an hour of a lifetime experience
3rd day: Batwa cultural experience and transfer to Kigali international airport
Our final day of the safari will start with the breakfast before adventuring the Batwa cultural experience. The park has two trails from which you can choose which one you want to fall. You will visit the caves where these hunters used to hide, and you will learn how they used to make fire and set their traps to hunt their meat
