6 Day Rwanda safari with double gorilla trekking

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: KIGAKI CITY TOUR

You will be met by our company representative and driver for a brief and thereafter, you will go for the Kigali City. The tour will offer you the beautiful views of the City, Local market, Genocide memorials, and you will also get to learn about culture. After the Visit, you will be taken to your Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

You will have breakfast in the morning and thereafter transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

The site offers you exhibits, written descriptions, informative photos and you can get to have a virtual trekking experience. Transfer to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking at Volcanoes National Park

On this day, you will be meeting the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park! After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you from the lodge to drive to the briefing point. A brief will be given on rules to follow while trekking the gorillas, then you will proceed for the raw experience of trekking the Gorillas. Trekking the mountain Gorillas is worth more than any other encounters. You will be allowed an hour with these gentle giants and after you will walk back to the starting point to meet your driver guide. You will be driven back to your lodge for Lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trekking

In the morning, you will have breakfast then head to the park headquarters for your second gorilla trek. We may request to have you trek another Gorilla family. And after your Gorilla Trekking experience, you may choose to relax at your lodge or go for the cultural experience at the Iby’wachu.  Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

 Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking and Boat Trip on Twin Lakes

Have breakfast, then drive to the briefing point at Kinigi Park office. You will be briefed and prepared for your Golden Monkey activity. You will then start your trek through the forest in search of the golden monkeys. The golden monkeys are active and playful animals and you will enjoy watching them in their bamboo territories. After this adventure, you will drive to visit the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. You may choose to take a boat cruise to enjoy viewing the different geographic features. Drive back to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 6: Coffee Tour and Transfer back to Kigali

In the Morning, you will have breakfast to go for the coffee tour where you will witness the bean to cup process. After your Coffee experience, you will transfer back to Kigali which marks the end of your Safari.
