The 8 Days Wildlife and Gorilla Trekking Tour takes you Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest National Park and Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and Wildlife Safari Adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive into Kigali at 0910 via Nairobi, Kenya Airlines.

Meet you at Kigali airport and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On reaching the Park, transfer on Game Drive around the various tracks watching wildlife like Hippos, Elephants, kobs, Buffaloes, small antelope etc. After, transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mweya Safari Lodge, Kazinga View Lodge. (Meal plan Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)

Day 2: Lion Tracking Experiential and Game Drive

Have breakfast then transfer for the experiential lion tracking around the Kasenyi Plains then after tracking the Lions, break off for lunch then after, you will transfer for a remarkable Game Drive around the various tracks in the Park. After transfer to the Kazinga Channel for a stunning Boat Cruise which will offer you sightings of schools of hippo and crocodiles beneath the waters. Return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnigh. Mweya Safari Lodge, Kazainga View Lodge. Meal Plan as above.

Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer with your luggage to Bwindi Forest National Park with stunning views at the Rwenzori Mountains in a distance en-route. You will have en-route lunch and when you reach to the Park, you will check-in your lodge/ hotel then go on a guided Nature Walk to the forest and neighboring communities. After the walk, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters where you will be briefed on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas. You are distributed in groups of 8 and with a skilled ranger guide, you will penetrate the forest to search for the Mountain Gorillas for a period of 4-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence. After, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge Buhoma, Buhoma Community Rest Camp.

 Day 5: Drive to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Volcanoes National Park to track the Golden Monkeys I  their natural forest habitat. You will trek these for 2-3 hours until Mid Day then later, you will return back to your lodge/ hotel for Lunch. After lunch you can choose to relax/ transfer for an evening Guided Nature Walk around the local Markets of Musanze, visit the Dian Fossey Research Center. Return to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla tracking at Volcanoes National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Kinigi headquarters to be briefed on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then in groups of 8, transfer to track the primates for a period of 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After trekking, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

 Day 7: Drive back to Kigali

Wake up have breakfast then transfer back to Kigali and en-route, you can visit the Genocide Memorials and the Nyamirambo Women’s market. You will have lunch at the Bobourn coffee Restaurant then later proceed to your hotel/ lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Mariot hotel.

 Day 8: Transfer to Kigali International Airport

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Kigali International Airport to catch your flight to connect to Nairobi then back home.
