Safari Overview
The 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Tour offers travelers an opportunity to explore numerous Safari destinations in Uganda and these include; Murchison Falls National park, Kibale Forest National park, Queen Elizabeth National park, Bwindi Forest National park and Lake Mburo National park for incredible Safari experiences.
Day 1: Transfer-Murchison Falls
Leave Kampala for Murchison falls national park after breakfast. You will have lunch stop before you reach the park. On reaching the park in the afternoon you will drive to the top of the falls from which the park was named. At the top of the falls you will see where the Nile perfects its beauty. You will see how the calm Nile transforms into a thunderous roar of white water falling deep down about 45m After you will transfer to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Game Drive and Launch cruise of Victoria Nile
Before dawn wake up and have breakfast to go for a game drive to search for predators and early risers. The drive will reward you with game like hyenas, giraffes, Lions, birds, Hartebeests, buffalos, elephants, primates and others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks. Paraa Safari Lodge / Red chili Camp.
Day 3: Transfer-Kibale Forest
Early in the morning wake up for another game drive before sunrise for more wild species you will then return to the lodge for late breakfast. With packed lunch you will then drive to Kibale National park to reach in the late afternoon. . The journey takes you through traditional homesteads, farms and green vegetation to reach Fort Portal situated amidst the Great “Mountains of the Moon. Dinner and overnight at Ndali safari lodge, Mid range Rwenzori view guesthouse or Budget sky tree house
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking
In the morning you go for a guided walk in Kibale Forest National Park in search for chimpanzees. The walk will not only reward you with chimps but also other primates like the colobus monkeys, grey cheeked Mangabeys, phoestes, bush babies, baboons and others. Later in the afternoon you will go visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to see variety of fauna and flora the place has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Ndali safari lodge, Mid range Rwenzori view guesthouse or Budget sky tree house
Day 5: Transfer to Queen / Launch cruise
Have breakfast to drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you about 2 and a half hours following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges most of the journey. You will have a game drive enroute as you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach in time for lunch to have lunch and then later in the afternoon go for a Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes Edward and George. The boat ride will reward you with game like hippos, buffaloes, elephants and plenty of birds on shores. For birders the park is known for its record of 210 birds’ a day.
Day 6: Game drive / Transfer to Bwindi
Before sun rise have breakfast or a glass of juice and go for a game drive in the Kasenyi sector and the queens’ mile. The drive will reward you with game like the Buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, white striped jackals, antelopes, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, bush bucks and others. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast at the lodge. After the late breakfast with packed lunch you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector. You should watch out for tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. You will reach Bwindi later in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 7: Gorilla tracking
Following breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off at 9:00 am through the tracks to search for the humble giants. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these great apes. However the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tiresome, it involves walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. They are awe-inspiring! Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo
Have breakfast to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The journeys will take you about 6-7 hours to reach in the late afternoon and have a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp./ Rwonyo Camp.
Day 9: Game drive / Canoe ride
Early in the morning have breakfast and the go for a game drive/ Nature walk in the park and then later in the afternoon you will go for a canoe ride in Lake Mburo that will take you along the shores to see more game and birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp/ Rwonyo Camp.
Day 10: Transfer to Kampala
This morning after breakfast you will drive back to Kampala to reach in the afternoon.
