OVERVIEW
The Golden Monkey Habituation activity allows you be a part of the process of training these primates to get used and comfortable to human observers. The activity will enable you to have an up-close observation to witness the behavior of the Golden Monkeys, how they interact, play, and feed. You will have the opportunity to see other primates like the black and white colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed monkeys, Olive baboons as well as lots of bird species. Golden Monkey Habituation allows you ore interaction Time as the monkeys exhibit their nature behavior, and the activity offers great photographic opportunities.
The Indigenous Pygmy Ethnic group or the Batwa will give you a traditional feel and Unique attachment to some of the cultures in Uganda. A guided cultural Visit to the learn about their daily life, experiencing the sound of Batwa Music and actively getting involved in the dances will make your trip. You can also support the locals who earn a living through art and crafts while on this cultural experience.
Enjoy trekking the habituated group of Gorillas in the Nyakagezi Group to watch the gentle Giants feed, interact with each other as well as other behaviors. You will be left with a lasting impression and lifelong memories after your participation in the gorilla trekking activity.

SAFARI PROGRAM
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga & Batwa Visit
You will be picked up by the safari guide for a transfer from Kigali to Mgahinga National Park. It is a scenic drive and adventure that wraps Rwanda’s and Uganda’s Unique setting in a brief. You will cross the Boarder into Uganda and after having lunch, you will visit the Batwa Community near Mgahinga to learn and understand the culture and History of these people. Drive to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Habituation
On this day, you will go for the exciting adventure, in the lush montane forest for Golden Monkey Habituation. From the lodge, you will transfer for a brief and guidance from the experts on the activity. You will then go into the forest to observe one of the rarest primates and stunning creatures. You will benefit from the up-close encounter and insights into the golden monkey ecology from the knowledgeable rangers. After this activity, you will return to your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga
Encountering the Gorillas in their Natural Habitat is a truly unforgettable and assures one of our shares in the nature world.
You will be picked up by the safari guide to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing, and to register for this activity. You will be briefed on different things like Gorilla behavior and thereafter, start the trek in the forest. You will be allowed an hour with the Gorillas as you witness them interact, feed and play, then return to meet your guide for a transfer back to Kigali which marks the end of your Safari.
