BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and visit Ibyiwachu cultural village.

Day 3:  Karisoke research center and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and visit the Batwa.

Day 5: Return to Kigali.

A DETAILED ITINERARY FOR A 5 DAY PHOTOGENIC GORILLA TREKKING RWANDA AND UGANDA

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to volcanoes national park

Upon arriving in Kigali, you will be welcomed and picked up by our guide. He will then inform you about your 5 days photogenic gorilla trekking safari Rwanda and Uganda. However, depending on your arrival time, you can decide to do a city tour or do it on departure.

From here the guide will drive you to your lodge in volcanoes national park, check in enjoy dinner and then rest.

Accomm0dation: Sambora Kinigi lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Ibyiwachu cultural village

Very early in the morning, wake up enjoy your break fast and then your guide will take you to Kinigi for your gorilla trekking adventure. The gorilla trekking experience usually opens with the briefing that involves equipping trekkers with rules and regulations to follow while in the forest.

After the briefing you will have to go to the forest in a group of 8 people with your armed ranger guide. You will trek in the rain forests as you pass though the steep slopes viewing various plants. The moment you engage with the gorillas strictly one hour is offered to you.  When you are done with your trekking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch.  Relax a bit and then prepare to visit Ibyiwachu cultural village in the afternoon. Visit Ibyiwachu and learn more about the interesting cultures of the Rwandan people through music, dance and story telling.

Accommodation: Sambora Kinigi lodge.

Day 3:  Karisoke research center and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

After your morning meals, prepare to transfer to Karisoke research center. The center is among the important places that show case various work of the late Diana fossey.

Diana Fossey holds a very significant role within the conservation efforts of gorillas. She spent almost all her life preserving and conserving gorillas. While at the research center, you will be able to have vast knowledge about Dianna fossey, read through her writings.  From the research center you will need to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Overnight stay at Gorilla Mist camp.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and visiting the Batwa

Enjoy your breakfast and embark on transferring to Bwindi national park head quarters. Upon your arrival, you will have to engage into the briefing. After the briefing, you will then embark on your trekking experience in the forest.

Upon encountering with the gorillas, only one hour will be offered to you to spend with them. Here you are free to take photos as you watch closely these gorillas.  After trekking, you will have to return to the park head quarters where you will be awarded with the certificate of completion.

The guide will drive you back to the lodge for lunch then in late afternoon prepare to visit the Batwa community people. You will discover the unbeaten cultures of the Batwa through music, dance and story telling.

Overnight at Agandi lodge.

Day 5: Return to Kigali

After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on transferring to Kigali international airport. During your journey you will be able to enjoy the scenic views of the plantations and surroundings.  En route lunch will be taken and then proceed with your journey to Kigali

Upon your arrival in Kigali your 5 days photogenic safari Rwanda and Uganda will have ended.
