Lake Manyara National Park is suitably located in two different regions i.e the Arusha and Manyara Regions of Tanzania. The park includes both a narrow strip running between the Gregory Rift Wall to the West and Lake Manyara a soda Lake in the East. Getting there requires you to transfer from either Ngorongoro Conservation Area or Serengeti National Park for it is located in the middle of these two making it a beautiful adventure
The park covers an area of 530 km2 of forest, arid land and soda lake with numerous flamingos which occupy the shores of the lake in the wet season and are absent during the dry season. The park is prominently inhabited by numerous species of birds’ i.e 400 different species as well as the tree climbing lions.
There are other wildlife animals around the park as well and these include; Leopards, cheetahs, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelles, hippopotami, Masai giraffe, impala, zebras etc. The park can be accessed from Babati capital of the Manyara Region and is situated near Tarangire National Park.
Best Time to Visit Lake Manyara National Park
Travelers around the world can visit the park any time of the year however this depends on what you are interested in adventuring. The wet season in the months of April and May are offer an opportunity to watch numerous bird species that flood the park and these include; colonies of storks, pelicans, spoonbills, cormorants pink flamingos, shallows, thousands of tiny red-billed quelea weavers, herons, hornbills, shrikes, Kingfishers, colorful rollers and raptors.
The dry season offers which happens in the months of July and October is the best time for game viewing making numerous wildlife species to wander from their habitants to the fresh water holes making it easy to watch by many different travelers on game drives along the different tracks in the park.

Lake Manyara National Park enables travelers to experience remarkable game drives along the various tracks in the park watching various wildlife animals wandering from one point to another in the park.
