Nairobi National park was founded in 1946 and is suitably located about 7 kilometers south of the center of Nairobi Kenya’s Capital City. The park includes an electric fence that separates its wildlife animals from the Metropolis with skyscrapers. The park inhabits numerous wildlife species which include; Cape buffaloes, baboons, Eastern black rhinos, gazelles, zebras, Tanzanian cheetahs, Coke’s hartebeest, hippopotami, leopards, East African lions, elands, impala, Masai giraffes, ostriches, vultures and waterbucks etc. The park covers an area of 117.21 square kilometres (28,963 acres) and is protected as part of the Athi-Kapiti ecosystem being formed by the with its Southern Boundary Mbagathi River. The vegetation terrain around the park is scattered acacia bush and this inhabits numerous wildlife animals. This safari destination is very convenient for travelers interested in taking and adventuring short excursions around Nairobi City. There are numerous buffalo, rhinos as well as ostriches.
