FULL-DAY PRIVATE TOUR AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
This full-day wildlife adventure in Akagera National Park will bring you to one of the smallest national parks in Rwanda. Known for its wildlife safari and being home to Africa’s BIG 5. It is an ideal wildlife safari for travelers who are in Rwanda for seminars and conferences. Those who cannot afford long safari holidays either due to money shortages or busy schedules are also covered. Just like most wildlife safaris, this safari to Akagera National Park mainly consists of 2 activities. A game drive and a boat cruise.
During the game drive, you will be able to spot different animal species such as elephants, lions, zebras, buffaloes, and giraffes among others. The safari by water will give you an encounter with aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles.

Akagera National Park Detailed Itinerary
Your assigned English-speaking driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or Kigali International Airport at 4:00 am. Then you will embark on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park enjoying the hilly landscape and the lush vegetation.
During this road trip, the driver guide will give you a brief history of this country as well as the destination you are visiting. Once you arrive at the park’s southern gate, you will be briefed shortly then you will be allowed into the park. From there immediately you will begin the game drive going through the different trails in the park.
Here you will encounter different wildlife such as the BIG 5 which are elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, and leopards. This game drive will take about 6 hours then you will stop over at Lake Mihindi picnic spot for lunch.
After lunch, you will explore the beauty of this savanna park by boat on Lake Ihema. Once you arrive at the lakeside, you will meet a local boat driver who will take you on this mind-blowing adventure.
During the boat cruise, you will see other wildlife that survive in water such as hippos and crocodiles. After this, with your driver guide, you will proceed on yet another game drive as you exit the park later in the evening and you will be dropped off at your pickup point or your next destination.
