All parks of Tanzania have gotten accommodation option ranging from budget, mid range to the luxury accommodation option. You can choose to go for a public campsite, tented lodges or permanent lodge depending on your budget and time of travel. Some accommodational options are seasonal as they do follow the migration seasons.

Other accommodation are mobile campsites that moves while following the flow of the wildebeest migration. These campsites will usually be placed in places where the migration is most likely to be. It this article we are going to also show such accommodation and where they will be stationed at a particular season of migration.

We shall also clearly indicate which costs are included on your quote. Some lodges include the concession while calculating you invoice whereas others do leave them out and not include them on their invoices.

Furthermore, different levels of accommodations come with different meal plan, first we are offering accommodations mostly on full board. However, there might be some other addons that will come at extra costs that you will be supposed to pay in case you wish to enjoy those services.

Accommodation at Karatu region in Tanzania

Ngorongoro Farmhouse & Farmhouse Valley – Adventure

Ngorongoro farmhouse & Farmhouse Valley offers standard rooms and suit rooms. The standard room is divided into single room, double room and triple rooms services. The suit rooms are divided into single rooms and double rooms. Suit rooms are always more expensive compared to the standard houses.

The price of the houses is also determined by the season. The Tanzania tourism seasons are High, shoulder and low seasons. The accommodation price will be very high during high season. It will moderate during shoulder season and at its lowest during low season. Especially during the high season, you will need to book your accommodation in advance as there will be high demand for the accommodation.

Accommodation at Kitela lodge-premium

Kitela lodge offer standard rooms. You can book a single room, a double room, or a triple room with their prices varying from season to season. The prices base on a low season, shoulder season and high season.

To book your accommodation especially during the high season, you need to do it in advance to avoid finding rooms when are fully booked.

Accommodation at Tloma lodge- Adventure

The room at this lodge is categorised into standard room and garden rooms. Standard rooms are more expensive compared to garden rooms. For that same reason, standard rooms are more luxurious than the garden rooms. For standard room, you can book single room, double room or triple room

Whereas garden room will give you options of single room and double room. The prices will also be determined by the season where a season can either be high season, shoulder season or low season.

Tarangire Kati Kati- Adventure

This is the tented accommodation offering full board services. Tarangire Kati Kati offers a single room service, double room service and triple room services. The prices of accommodation will also be determined by high season, shoulder season or low season. Make sure to book your accommodation in advance especially during the peak season.

Burunge Tented lodge.

Another tented accommodation offering full board services. You can book a single room, double room or triple room. The price of accommodation will vary basing on the season of your safari which can be high season, shoulder season or low season

Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge

This is another tented accommodation located in Tarangire national park. The lodge offers single room services and double room services. The prices will vary basing on the season of your safari. These seasons include high season, Shoulder season and low season. Make your season as early as possible to avoid any late drama.

Lake Burunge Baobab Tented lodge also offer a bungalow room for the luxury clients. The rooms are slightly more expensive but with a high-end services and comfort that comes with the extra pay. The rooms have a standard price, but they can take a maximum of 3 people. This makes them cheaper for the family travellers or thos interested in a standard triple room.

Maramboi tented lodge

Theis tented lodge is the premium lodge offering high class services and full board services. You can go for a single room, a double room or the triple room. The prices will vary depending on the season. The lodge also offer suite tent with Terrance with the capacity of maximum two people pe tent (room). You can also get a superior family suit that will give you a two double tent with the exclusive use.

Serengeti mobile camps

Due to the ecosystem of Serengeti with animals known to be migratory from one region to another while searching for water. We have got mobile camps in the park, and some are situated in a particular area depending on when the animals will be settled in that area. Let us have a look to the different options.

Serengeti, Ndutu and Mara kati kati tented lodges

All these three lodges offer accommodation in different categories. These categories include single room tent, double room tent and triple room tent.

Serengeti kati kati is open all year round and you are free to book accommodation at this lodge whenever you feel like.

Mara kati kati opens between June to November whe the wildebeest concentrate in Kogatende conservation area or crossing the mara river. It is perfect for those interested in seeing the river crossing of wildebeest

Ndutu kati kati opens between December to march. This is the calving season and is when wildebeest and other animals concentrate in the southern part of Serengeti in Ndutu conservation area.

Ndutu/ Mara under convas

This one offer rooms for single, double rooms and triple rooms but it is the seasonal mobile camp

Ndutu under convas opens between December to March and is situated in Ndutu conservation area to cater for those interested in the calving season of wildebeest that takes place within that time and area.

Mara under convas is located in norther Serengeti and open between June to November to provide accommodation for those interested in witnessing the river crossing of the wildebeest at mara river

It is located in kogatende conservation area of northern Serengeti. Basic terms

Rates are ONLY quoted in US $ & Include VAT and TDL.

Adventure properties. Rates include full board breakfast, lunch, dinner and mineral water during meals. Except in Kahawa

House where rates include bed and breakfast.

Premium properties. Rates include full board breakfast, lunch and dinner, and drinks: mineral water, soft drinks, local beers and house wines.

Rates exclude: Camping / Concession / WMA fees where.

Children policy. Rates applicable per room, to children from 03 to 16 years.

Single rooms

The single room rate is applicable for the first 2 rooms per booking. Double rate for the rest of the single rooms.

Allocations

All allocations are subject to an agreement, where releases and conditions are stipulated.

Tour Leader Rates

Tanganyika Wilderness Camps (TWC) will grant to bona fide tour leaders on the basis ‘half double’ per 15 paying travelers, provided it is pre-booked and confirmed. Should the group consist in a number below of 15 paying guest we suggest to consult with Reservations Department.

Payments

-20% deposit is required to confirm a booking.

-45 Days before arrival full payment to be received. Bookings not fully paid will be released automatically without prior notification and the 20 % deposit will be fortified. Extras are to be settled in full before departure.

Tanganyika Wilderness Camps may require a larger deposit if the booking is for a group, ie. A group of more than 10 rooms. Cheques are not allowed as a mode of payment. The Agent agrees to pay all costs including legal fees incurred in the collection of unpaid invoices.

Cancellation Policy & Release periods

The following will apply for any amendment, cancelation or reduction in numbers rooms or travellers of any booking:

Between 60-45 days before scheduled date of arrival: 20% cancellation fee of the contract will be charged.

Between 44-30 days before scheduled date of arrival: 50 % cancellation fee of the contract will be charged.

Between 29 days and day of arrival 100% cancellation fee of the contract will be charged.

During low season: From April to May and in November, no cancellation fees applicable.

Provisional Bookings

Provisional booking will be held subject to availability and at the discretion of Tanganyika Wilderness Camps.

Liability

TWC, does not and will not accept any responsibility for any accident or incident of any nature involving clients/guests and or staff who are at any of the properties or whilst traveling to or from any properties or partaking in any activity, arranged by, associated with or owned by the Tanganyika Wilderness Camps.

Rate increase/Variation

The contract rates, terms and conditions mentioned in this agreement are subject to change without notice: however, every effort will be made to maintain them. In the event of a change on government taxes, levies, TWC reserves the right to pass these on to the Agent.
